Data processing

This page describes what data wePocket processes when you see the wePocket window after a purchase at a partner shop, or click on it.

If you only see the gift window

Nothing. We store no data as long as you do not click. The widget only loads the shop's display settings (colour, language) from our server.

If you click «Discover now»

The shop sends us:

• the shop's domain,
• an order reference and the order value,
• the voucher code used, if any.

From that we create an anonymous session with a random ID. That ID — and nothing else — is handed to your browser. We store neither your name nor your email address, phone number or date of birth.

If you enter your email address

We store your email address and the language you chose. We send you a confirmation email (double opt-in). Your vouchers are unlocked only once you click the link in it, and only then may we write to you. You can unsubscribe at any time.

If you choose a voucher

We store which voucher you chose and send you the code by email. We report to the partner shop that a voucher was chosen — that is what they pay us for. The shop does not learn who you are.

What we deliberately do not do

• No personal data in URLs.
• No reselling of your data.
• No tracking across other websites.
• No third-party advertising cookies.

Where the data lives

On servers in Switzerland (Infomaniak, Geneva and Winterthur).
